Health Careers Exploration Program
The Mid-Carolina AHEC, Inc. offers the Health Careers Academy (HCA) Medical Explorers Program for middle school students. The HCA activities promote academic success, career development and personal growth for students. The HCA also helps families understand that the path to becoming a health professional begins in middle school.

Academy Enrollment Details
Academy Dates
The Health Careers Academy conducts its sessions annually from December-April.
Each new academic year begins with an orientation held in December.
Academy Expectations
Participants in the program are required to attend all meetings, with no more than 2 absences permitted. Students should consistently maintain high academic standards and engagement during their time in the program.
